Developer of the year 2023 is OP Real Estate Asset Management

Property owners and developers Rakli ry has chosen OP Real Estate Asset Management as developer of the year 2023. The company is one of Finland’s largest real estate asset managers and builds versatile new living environments and social infrastructure throughout Finland. OP Real Estate Asset Management is also known as the developer of several challenging sites, such as the Kansi and Areena project in Tampere.

Responsibility is strongly visible in the activities of the developer of the year 2023. OP Real Estate Asset Management has tied its responsibility goals and actions to domestic and international agreements, acting as an example for other players in the industry. As part of social responsibility, the developer of the year conducts a continuous dialogue with stakeholders, for example, about the shared responsibility goals of the developer and the tenants.

OP Real Estate Asset Management also actively participates in the development of the sector. Examples of this are wood construction projects and the use of data models in the building permit process. They have also been closely involved in the work related to the EU taxonomy and considering the effects of the taxonomy on the real estate and construction sector. Builder of the Year Award

The developer of the year is chosen by the Real Estate Owners and Developers Rakli ry and the award has been given since 2007. The developer acts as the customer in the construction project, whose requirements and professionalism largely determine the functionality of the finished building. In the selection criteria for the developer of the year award, emphasis is placed on exemplary operations and adherence to good construction practices. In order to receive the award, the developer must master the requirements of sustainable development and the application of various construction procedures. In the selection, value is also given to participation in development and training activities in the field and to the good fulfillment of customer needs.

Previously, Finavia, Etera, SOK, Järvenpään Mestariasunnot, Finnish Transport Agency, University of Helsinki, Helsinki City Housing Production Office ATT, City of Lahti, Sponda Oyj, Pirjo Honkaniemi, Suomen Yliopistokiinteistöt Oy, Kesko Oyj, Ilmarinen, HOAS and the City of Tampere have been selected as developers of the year.
